Driven by the impact that technology can make for people who face barriers — be it informational, financial, psychological, or social.
Also passionate about driving design maturity and building a user-centric culture through cross-functional collaborative initiatives.
..into product design has been rather serendipitous. As an architect building spaces for various needs like commercial, residential, offices — retail store design became my favorite due to the challenge of designing for multiple perspectives — the business and its customers.
It led me to pursue a Master’s in Retail Experience Design at NID, where I was introduced to the world of UX for the first time. Don Norman’s ‘The Design of Everyday Things’ played a huge part in the way I think and question designs everyday. It empowered me to feel like I can design anything and don’t need to restrict myself to just spaces.
Back home (a beautiful little village in Kerala called Puthenpeedika), I love observing how my parents and grandparents use technology because their mental model is so different from mine. This ritual made me realize that I truly enjoy understanding why people do things the way they do — their decision making processes, and mental models. In both my personal and professional life, I combine empathy, compassion, and humility as a path forward. <3

Apart from design
I love learning new things. I digest them by sketchnoting.
I love the outdoors. You’ll find me zooming in and out of Maps looking for the next green patch to hike.
My latest indulgence is non-fiction graphic novels. Current read: ‘When Stars are Scattered’
